I have fond memories of serving Mass in my home parish with the friars from St. Joseph province.

I went to school in a different parish and I always amazed the other boys and the sisters that I could serve the Mass at school, but they could not serve the Mass at my parish.

I remember several times serving for Dominicans in various parishes since the local servers were unfamiliar with the rubrics and prayers. One instance was wile on vacation at the Grand Canyon.

I am happy to see the extraordinary form available again. The heritage of the Dominican Rite is something wonderful and it is a blessing that it is now not lost.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681724653679910870.post-54266724129808703642008-10-01T08:08:00.000-07:002008-10-01T08:08:00.000-07:00Dear Fr. As an altar server in the Roman Rite, and Dominican Third Order, this topic really interests me (now, if only there was one Dominican parish near my home...).

DerikDerikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02111042672936788662noreply@blogger.com
