Dominican Rite Ordo for A.D. 2020 Now Available

I am delighted to announce that the Dominican Rite Ordo for use with the Breviary is now available on the left side bar of here at Dominican Liturgy Publications or directly here.

This Ordo is in English and is intended for use by anyone who prays the 1962 Dominican Rite Breviary or the 1967 English translation of the Breviary. It includes a complete calendar for the Dominican Rite liturgical year A.D. 2020.

In addition, it includes the collect prayers for the Dominican Blesseds who are not on the calendar (so that a votive commemoration can be made of their feast), obits of the deceased Masters General, and announcements of days when Dominican Tertiaries (Lay Dominicans) can obtain plenary indulgences.

Finally, it contains an English translation of the Office of Prime, which was omitted from the 1967 English translation of the Dominican Breviary.

Dominican Rite Calendar for 2020

First Page of the 2020 Calendar
I am pleased to announce that the new Dominican Rite Calendar for A.D. 2020 is now ready. It can be downloaded from the left side-bar.

This calendar includes the feasts of the Dominican General Calendar in force in 1962, as well as feasts proper to the United States (on their days as in 1962).  In addition, saints and blesseds added to the Dominican calendar since 1962 are included,  following the revised Dominican calendar of April 2019. On the right side the pages, the propers of saints whose dates were changed in 1960 and suitable commons for those beatified or canonized after 1962 are indicated for the Missals of 1933, 1939, and 1965.

In addition, an appendix is included giving feasts proper to each diocese in the United States where a Dominican priory or house is located. A second appendix lists the many "minor" blesseds who are appointed for celebration only in their proper provinces.

I am posting this now, at the beginning of December so that my friar brothers (and others interested) can alert me to any mistakes, so that I can correct them before January 1, 2020. I thank you all for your help in this matter.
