Dominican Rite Solemn High Mass and Talk in Silicon Valley
It has been said that the Dominican Order is not only a good Order to live in, but also a good order to die in, due to all the suffrages for our deceased brethren and families. Praying for our dearly departed is a good and pious act, and a part of our Dominican spirituality.
In addition, visitors to Fátima might be familiar with the Dominican Nuns of the Perpetual Rosary there and their Association of Holy Souls, a global confraternity, or Fr. Paul O'Sullivan, OP's famous book on praying for the Holy Souls, Read Me or Rue It. One of our saints, St. John Macías, a contemporary and companion of St. Martin de Porres, earned the nickname "Thief of Souls" for his continual offerings for the Holy Souls that helped so many souls in need.
